There are so many reasons I’m thankful to be a part of my husband’s family. Access to this recipe is definitely one of those reasons. My husband’s mother has been making this for her family since he was a little boy, and it’s one of his favorite desserts. Since I’m am now the one that makes it for him and it only requires 4 ingredients, it’s one of my favorites too. I have taken this to so many pool parties and other social events. It’s always a crowd pleaser. It tastes better as it sits, so it’s also a great make ahead dessert.
- 1 angel food cake
- 1 lb strawberries diced
- 14 oz sweetened condensed milk
- 16 oz Cool whip
Cut angel food cake into 1-2" pieces.
Combine all ingredients in a bowl, mix gently until evenly incorporated.
Refrigerate for an hour and serve.
